Das nächstgelegene Spital für die Massaibevölkerung von Loiborsoit liegt im Nachbardorf Emboret. Auf dem grossen Gemeindegebiet in Loiborsoit selbst gibt es nur zwei kleine medizische Notfallstationen/Buschkliniken (auf Swahili als Zahanati bezeichnet). Eine dieser Buschkliniken befindet sich seit über 20 Jahren im Dorfzentrum Loiborsoit und die andere Buschklinik wurde im Jahre 2016 dank der Unterstützung durch eine Privatperson (aus Dar es Salaam) im abgelegenen Ortsteil Lemooti ca. 25 km nordwestlich vom Dorf Loiborsoit gebaut. Die Buschklinik in Lemooti ist vorallem für die medizinische Versorgung von schwangeren Frauen und Kleinkindern sowie älteren Personen konzipiert. Ein Arzt, welcher von der Simanjiro-Distriktregierung angestellt ist, betreut diese kleine Klinik während 7 Tagen in der Woche und wird dabei bei Bedarf zusätzlich stunden- oder tageweise von einheimischen, medizinisch ausgebildetem Pflegepersonen/ Hebammen usw. unterstützt. Diese Buschklinik befindet sich nur wenige hundert Meter von der Primarschule Lemooti entfernt. In Zusammenhang mit unseren Wasser- und Schulbauprojekten an dieser Schule, konnte unser Verein diese Buschklinik im letzten Jahr bei der Installation von Wassertanks zur Verbesserung der Wasserversorgung unterstützen. In diesem Jahr haben wir der Buschklinik in Lemooti weitere Unterstützung versprochen, damit die Infrastruktur laufend verbessert werden kann. Somit konnte kürzlich die dringend notwendige Installation geeigneter Kühlschränke zur Lagerung wichtiger Medikamente durch Lengai S. und die Dorfregierung Loiborsoit vorgenommen werden…
Support for the dispensary in Lemooti
The closest hospital for Loiborsoit’s Maasai population is in the neighboring village of Emboret. Within the large community area in Loiborsoit itself there are only two small and very basic emergency medical centers (referred to as Zahanati in Swahili). One of these dispensaries has been in the village center of Loiborsoit for over 20 years and the other dispensary was built in 2016 thanks to the support of a private person (from Dar es Salaam) in the remote district of Lemooti about 25 km northwest of the village of Loiborsoit. The small clinic in Lemooti is primarily designed for the medical care of pregnant women and small children as well as elderly persons. A doctor who is employed by the Simanjiro district government looks after this small clinic 7 days a week and is additionally supported by local, medically trained nurses/midwives etc. on an hourly or daily basis if required. This dispensary is located just a few hundred meters from Lemooti Primary School. In connection with our water and school construction projects at this school, our association was able to support this small medical center last year with the installation of water tanks to improve the water supply. This year we have promised the dispensary in Lemooti further support so that the infrastructure can be continuously improved. Thus, Lengai S. and the village government of Loiborsoit were able to install the urgently needed refrigerators for storing important medicines…
Msaada kwa zahanati ya Lemooti
Hospitali ya karibu zaidi kwa wakazi wa Loiborsoit iko katika kijiji jirani cha Emboret. Ndani ya eneo kubwa la jumuiya huko Loiborsoit kwenyewe kuna vituo viwili tu vidogo na vya matibabu ya dharura (vinajulikana kama Zahanati kwa Kiswahili). Moja ya zahanati hizi imekuwa katikati ya kijiji cha Loiborsoit kwa zaidi ya miaka 20 na zahanati nyingine ilijengwa mwaka 2016 kutokana na msaada wa mtu binafsi (kutoka Dar es Salaam) katika wilaya ya mbali ya Lemooti takriban kilomita 25 kaskazini magharibi mwa kijiji cha Loiborsoit. Kliniki ndogo huko Lemooti kimsingi imeundwa kwa ajili ya matibabu ya wanawake wajawazito na watoto wadogo na wazee. Daktari ambaye ameajiriwa na serikali ya wilaya ya Simanjiro hutunza zahanati hii ndogo siku 7 kwa wiki na pia anasaidiwa na wauguzi/wakunga (midwives), waliofunzwa matibabu nk kila saa au kila siku ikihitajika. Zahanati hii iko mita mia chache tu kutoka Shule ya Msingi ya Lemooti. Kuhusiana na miradi yetu ya ujenzi wa maji na shule katika shule hii, chama chetu kiliweza kusaidia kituo hiki kidogo cha matibabu mwaka jana kwa kuweka matanki ya maji ili kuboresha usambazaji wa maji. Mwaka huu tumeahidi msaada zaidi kwa zahanati ya Lemooti ili miundombinu iendelee kuboreshwa. Kwa hivyo, Lengai S. na serikali ya kijiji cha Loiborsoit waliweza kufunga majokofu yaliyohitajika haraka kwa ajili ya kuhifadhi dawa muhimu…
