Sponsors visit school projects in Lemooti

Letzte Woche logierten Karen und Jo V. als Vertreter des Unternehmens Atlas Copco aus Belgien in unserem Gästehaus in Loiborsoit. Atlas Copco hatte im letzten Jahr das Wasserprojekt an der Schule in Lemooti finanziert. Karen und Jo konnten während ihrer Tansaniareise und einem mehrtägigen Besuch im Massailand unter Begleitung von Nengajiang (Projektkoordinatorin von ENKAINA-E-RETOTO) einige der kürzlich abgeschlossenen und neu lancierten Projekte auf dem Gemeindegebiet von Loiborsoit besuchen. An der Schule in Lemooti wurden sie von einer fröhlichen Schulkinderschar und den Lehrpersonen herzlich willkommen geheissen. Für Karen und Jo bot sich die Gelegenheit, die an den Schulgebäuden in Lemooti installierten Wassertanks zu inspizieren. Wegen der Dürresituation sind diese Tanks zurzeit leider leer. Sobald die sehnlichst erwartende Regenzeit einsetzt, kann dann mit neu gesammeltem Regenwasser (zur Betreibung der Schulküche) auch am Bau von zwei neuen Lehrerunterkünften weitergearbeitet werden. Der Bau dieser beiden Lehrerunterkünfte in Lemooti wird zu einem grossen Teil von der Simanjiro-Distriktregierung finanziert. Im Anschluss an die Besichtigung der Schulprojekte wurden die Besucher von der Massaibevölkerung zu einem kleinen traditionellen Essen eingeladen. Damit noch mehr Regenwasser von den relativ grossen Dachflächen der Schulgebäude gesammelt werden kann, möchten Karen und Jo über Atlas Copco weitere Wasserprojekte an Schulen im Massailand unterstützen und insbesondere auch am neuen Schulgebäude in Lemooti beidseits je mind. 1 weiterer 5000-Liter-Wassertank installieren. Damit Transportkosten minimiert werden können, sollten diese Wassertanks wenn möglich in Kombination mit geplanten Baumaterialtransporten (für den Bau der Lehrerunterkünfte) zu der entlegenen Schule in Lemooti transportiert werden. Sponsors visit school projects in Lemooti
Last week Karen and Jo V. stayed at our guest house in Loiborsoit as representatives of the company Atlas Copco from Belgium. Atlas Copco funded the water project at the school in Lemooti last year. Karen and Jo were able to visit some of the recently completed and newly launched projects in the Loiborsoit municipality during their trip to Tanzania and a multi-day visit to Maasailand accompanied by Nengajiang (project coordinator of ENKAINA-E-RETOTO). At the school in Lemooti they were warmly welcomed by a happy group of school children and their teachers. Karen and Jo had the opportunity to inspect the water tanks installed on the school buildings in Lemooti. Unfortunately, due to the drought, these tanks are currently empty. As soon as the eagerly awaited rainy season begins, work can continue on the construction of two new teacher accommodations with newly collected rainwater. The construction of these two teacher accommodations in Lemooti is being financed to a large extent by the Simanjiro district government. After visiting the school projects, the Maasai people invited the visitors to a small traditional meal. So that even more rainwater can be collected from the relatively large roof areas of the school building, Karen and Jo would like to support further water projects at schools in Maasailand via Atlas Copco and in particular also install at least one additional 5000 liter water tank on each side of the new school building in Lemooti. In order to minimize transport costs, these water tanks should be transported to the remote school in Lemooti, if possible in combination with planned transport of building materials (for the construction of the teachers‘ accommodation). Wafadhili hutembelea miradi ya shule huko Lemooti
Wiki iliyopita Karen na Jo V. walikaa katika nyumba yetu ya wageni huko Loiborsoit kama wawakilishi wa kampuni ya Atlas Copco kutoka Ubelgiji. Atlas Copco ilifadhili mradi wa maji katika shule ya Lemooti mwaka jana. Karen na Jo waliweza kutembelea baadhi ya miradi iliyokamilika hivi karibuni na iliyozinduliwa hivi karibuni katika manispaa ya Loiborsoit wakati wa safari yao nchini Tanzania na ziara ya siku nyingi ya Maasailand wakisindikizwa na Nengajiang (mratibu wa mradi wa ENKAINA-E-RETOTO). Katika shule ya Lemooti walikaribishwa kwa furaha na kikundi chenye furaha cha watoto wa shule na walimu wao. Karen na Jo walipata fursa ya kukagua matangi ya maji yaliyowekwa kwenye majengo ya shule huko Lemooti. Kwa bahati mbaya, kutokana na ukame, mizinga hii kwa sasa ni tupu. Mara tu msimu wa mvua unaosubiriwa kwa hamu unapoanza, kazi inaweza kuendelea katika ujenzi wa makao mawili mapya ya walimu na maji ya mvua yaliyokusanywa hivi karibuni. Ujenzi wa makazi haya mawili ya walimu kule Lemooti unafadhiliwa kwa kiasi kikubwa na serikali ya wilaya ya Simanjiro. Baada ya kutembelea miradi ya shule, Wamasai waliwaalika wageni kwenye mlo mdogo wa kitamaduni. Ili maji mengi zaidi ya mvua yakusanywe kutoka sehemu kubwa za paa za jengo la shule, Karen na Jo wangependa kusaidia miradi zaidi ya maji katika shule za Maasailand kupitia Atlas Copco na hasa pia kuweka angalau tanki moja la ziada la lita 5000 kwenye kila upande wa jengo jipya la shule huko Lemooti. Ili kupunguza gharama za usafiri, matanki haya ya maji yanapaswa kusafirishwa hadi shule ya mbali ya Lemooti, ikiwezekana pamoja na usafiri uliopangwa wa vifaa vya ujenzi (kwa ajili ya ujenzi wa makao ya walimu).
