Water projects and new cistern for well in Nyorrit

Im September und bis Mitte Oktober waren die meisten Zimmer in unserem Gästehaus in Loiborsoit durch Mitarbeiter von Hilfsorganisationen belegt. Das Gästehaus wird dank den Kontakten unseres Projektkoordinators Lengai S. immer wieder gerne von diversen Hilfsorganisationen als ideale Unterkunft im Massailand genutzt. In diesem Fall engagierten sich die im Bereich Brunnenbau inkl. Planung und Installation von Solarsystemen. So konnten bereits einige ältere sowie neuere Brunnen auf dem Gemeindegebiet von Loiborsoit mit entsprechenden Solarpanels und geeigneten Wasserpumpen nachgerüstet werden. Es ist uns ein Anliegen, dass beim kürzlich renovierten Brunnen in Nyorrit schon bald eine ca. 50.000 Liter fassende Zisterne erstellt werden kann. Wir hoffen, dass unser Projektpartner Atlas Copco aus Belgien die geplante Finanzierung zum Bau der Zisterne gutheissen kann. Zurzeit laufen dementsprechende Planungen und Rücksprachen mit Emanuel und seinem Handwerkerteam. Mit Einsetzen der sehnlichst erwartenden Regenzeit ab November bis spätestens im Januar und somit einer Verfügbarkeit von Wasser, soll dann unmittelbar mit den Bauarbeiten begonnen werden. Sobald wir erste Spenden erhalten und die Projektfinanzierung gesichert ist, werden wir auf unserer Homepage ein entsprechendes Proposal aufschalten und Euch bezüglich Projektumsetzung auf dem Laufenden halten. Wir sind zuversichtlich, dass die ersten Baumaterialien für die Zisterne (Fundamentsteine, Armierungseisen und Zementblocksteine) bereits vor dem Einsetzen der grossen Niederschläge mit Lastwagen an die Baustelle beim Brunnen in Nyorrit transportiert werden können…
Water projects and new cistern for well in Nyorrit
In September and until mid-October, most of the rooms in our guesthouse in Loiborsoit were occupied by employees of aid organizations. Thanks to the contacts of our project coordinator Lengai S., the guesthouse is often used by various aid organizations as ideal accommodation in Maasai area. In this case, they were involved well construction, including the planning and installation of solar systems. Some older and newer wells in the municipality of Loiborsoit have already been retrofitted with appropriate solar panels and suitable water pumps. It is important to us that a cistern with a capacity of approximately 50,000 liters can be built at the recently renovated well in Nyorrit soon. We hope that our project partner Atlas Copco from Belgium can approve the planned financing for the construction of the cistern. Appropriate planning and consultations with Emanuel and his team of construction workers are currently underway. With the expected onset of the long-awaited rainy season from November to January at the latest and thus an availability of water, construction work should begin immediately then. As soon as we receive the first donations and the project financing is secured, we will post a corresponding proposal on our homepage and keep you up to date with the project implementation. We are confident that the first building materials for the cistern (foundation stones, reinforcing iron and cement blocks) can be transported by truck to the construction site already before the onset of heavy rainfall…
