The former project supervisory committee is now the NGO board

Mit der kürzlich erfolgten, offiziellen Registrierung als nationale NGO hat sich für unseren Verein auch die Struktur der Projektumsetzung vor Ort verändert. In den vergangenen Jahren hatte das Projekt-Aufsichtsgremium eine wichtige Rolle bei der Begleitung unserer Projekte gespielt. Das Gremium hatte die Arbeit unseres langjährigen Projektkoordinators Lengai Salash unterstützt und regelmässig Berichte an den Vereinsvorstand in der Schweiz übermittelt.
Das bisherige Aufsichtsgremium hat sich nun in ein offizielles NGO-Board umgewandelt und übernimmt damit eine noch grössere Verantwortung für die Umsetzung unserer Projekte. Mit der Gründung der NGO war es notwendig, ein offizielles NGO-Board zu bilden, um die rechtlichen Anforderungen in Tansania zu erfüllen. Einige Mitglieder des ehemaligen Aufsichtsgremiums haben sich bereit erklärt, diese Aufgabe zu übernehmen.
Heute fand die zweite Sitzung des NGO-Boards am Hauptsitz von ENKAINA-E-RETOTO in Loiborsoit statt. Neben Lengai Salash als Vorsitzendem und Lengai Ngwandai als Vizevorsitzendem nahmen auch Seki Kununu und Nemburis Lemonji als Vertreterinnen der Dorfregierung/OSILGI-Frauengruppe sowie Mokia Naputu als Finanzrevisor teil.
Bei diesem Treffen wurden wichtige Entscheidungen getroffen und die Aufgaben der Mitgieder innerhalb des Boards klar definiert sowie deren Verantwortlichkeiten festgelegt.
Es wurden zudem Zugriffsrechte für Online-Banking sowie die Prozesse für die Finanzberichterstattung geregelt. Ausserdem wurde die Durchführung der demnächst anstehenden Weiterbildungskurse für die OSILIGI-Massaifrauen geplant.
Nach Möglichkeiten soll das Board demnächst um zwei weitere Mitglieder erweitert werden, um eine ausgewogene Geschlechterverteilung zu gewährleisten.
Die enge Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem Vereinsvorstand in der Schweiz und dem NGO-Board in Tansania ist für den Erfolg unserer Projekte von entscheidender Bedeutung. Wir freuen uns auf eine weiterhin inspirierende und konstruktive Zusammenarbeit.
Mit der Gründung des NGO-Boards wurde eine solide Basis für die Zukunft geschaffen. Wir sind zuversichtlich, dass wir gemeinsam noch viele weitere Erfolge erzielen werden. Der Vereinsvorstand bedankt sich ganz herzlich bei allen Mitgliedern des bisherigen Aufsichtsgremiums sowie des neu gebildeten NGO-Boards für ihr bislang erbrachtes Engagement und erneute Bereitschaft sich weiterhin für eine zielorientierte Umsetzung der gemeinnützigen Projekte im Massailand einzusetzen…
The former project supervision committee is now the NGO board
With the recent official registration as a national NGO, the structure of project implementation on site has also changed for our association. In recent years, the project supervision committee had played an important role in supporting our projects. The committee had supported the work of our long-standing project coordinator Lengai Salash and regularly submitted reports to the association’s board in Switzerland.
The previous supervision committee has now been transformed into an official NGO board and thus assumes even greater responsibility for the implementation of our projects. With the establishment of the NGO, it was necessary to form an official NGO board in order to meet the legal requirements in Tanzania. Some members of the former supervision committee have agreed to take on this task.
Today the second meeting of the NGO board took place at the ENKAINA-E-RETOTO headquarters in Loiborsoit. In addition to Lengai Salash as chairman and Lengai Ngwandai as vice-chairman, Seki Kununu and Nemburis Lemonji as representatives of the village government/OSILGI women’s group and Mokia Naputu as financial auditor also attended.
At this meeting, important decisions were made and the roles of the members within the board were clearly defined and their responsibilities established.
Access rights for online banking and the processes for financial reporting were also regulated. In addition, the implementation of the upcoming training courses for the OSILIGI Maasai women was planned.
If possible, the board will soon be expanded to include two more members in order to ensure a balanced gender distribution.
The close cooperation between the association’s board in Switzerland and the NGO board in Tanzania is crucial for the success of our projects. We look forward to continuing our inspiring and constructive cooperation.
With the establishment of the NGO board, a solid basis for the future has been created. We are confident that we will achieve many more successes together.
