New well in Loolosesia and planning further water projects at other schools

Bereits im letzten Jahr konnte unser langjähriger Projektkoordinator Lengai S. als Dorfvorsitzender von Loiborsoit mit Unterstützung durch die amerikanische Organisation Waterboys ein neues Brunnenbauprojekt für Loolosesia im nordöstlichsten Gemeindegebiet von Loiborsoit planen. Mitte März konnte nur wenige hundert Meter von unserer neu gebauten Primarschule in Loolosesia eine erfolgreiche Bohrung vorgenommen werden. Erfreulicherweise ist man in weniger als 100 Meter Tiefe auf vielversprechendes Grundwasser gestossen. In den nächsten Wochen soll dieser neue Brunnen in Loolosesia fertig gebaut werden. Dies wird die Wassersituation der Massaibevölkerung in Loolosesia grundlegend und nachhaltig verbessern. Darüber freuen sich insbesondere auch die Lehrpersonen an der nahegelegenen Primarschule, da vom neuen Brunnen in Loololesia ebenfalls eine Wasserleitung zur Schule gezogenen wird. Aufgrund dieses neuen Brunnens können auch die bereits innerhalb der gemeinnützigen Projekte 2022/23 (1. u. 2. Teil) geplanten Wasserprojekte (Wassertank-Installation) an diversen Schulen neu priorisiert werden. Die ursprünglich an der Schule Loolosesia geplante Installation weiterer Wassertanks zur Betreibung der Schulküche, ist wegen dem neuen Brunnen nicht mehr essentiell und soll daher z.B. der Schule in Mbuko zu Gute kommen. Dort sind bisher keine entsprechenden Brunnen vorhanden. Auch weitere Wassertanks, die zuerst für die Schule Osilalei eingeplant wurden, sollen stattdessen bei der demnächst startenden Sanierung des Dorfbrunnens in Nyorrit oder zusätzlich bei einem der neu errichteten Schulgebäude an der weit entlegenen Schule in Lemooti eingesetzt werden, da in Osilalei ebenfalls nicht weit von der Schule, ein Brunnen saniert werden konnte. Die Primarschule in Osilalei soll im Gegenzug z.B. von der Installation einer schuleigenen Solaranlage profitieren können. In Lemooti ist die Installation weiterer Wassertanks zudem durch ein neu geplantes Wasserprojekt garantiert, welches vom Unternehmen Atlas Copco aus Belgien finanziert wird. New well in Loolosesia and planning further water projects at other schools
With the support of the American organization Waterboys our longtime project coordinator Lengai S., as village leader of Loiborsoit, was able to plan a new well construction for Loolosesia in the north-eastern part of the municipality of Loiborsoit already last year. In mid-March, a successful drilling was carried out just a few hundred meters from our newly built primary school in Loolosesia. Fortunately, promising groundwater was found at a depth of less than 100 meters. In the next few weeks this new well in Loolosesia should be finished. This will improve the water situation of the Maasai population in Loolosesia fundamentally and sustainably. The teachers at the nearby primary school are particularly happy about this, as a water pipe will connect the new well in Loololesia and the school. Due to this new well, the water projects (water tank installation) already planned within the non-profit projects 2022/23 (1st and second part) at various schools can be reprioritized. The installation of further water tanks to operate the school kitchen, originally planned at the Loolosesia school, is no longer essential because of the new well. Therefore, the school in Mbuko could benefit from this situation. So far, there are no wells in Mbuko. There is a similar situation in Osilalei where a well could be renovated not long time ago. Thus, the relevant water tanks could be available for other locations, e.g. for the renovation of the village well in Nyorrit which is about to start soon. They could also be used for one of the newly built school buildings at remote school in Lemooti. In return, the primary school in Osilalei could benefit, for example, from the installation of a solar system. In Lemooti, the installation of further water tanks is also guaranteed by a newly planned water project, which is financed by Atlas Copco from Belgium. Kisima kipya huko Loolosesia na kupanga miradi zaidi ya maji katika shule zingine
Kwa msaada wa shirika la Marekani la Waterboys mratibu wetu wa muda mrefu wa mradi Lengai S., kama kiongozi wa kijiji cha Loiborsoit, aliweza kupanga ujenzi wa kisima kipya cha Loolosesia katika sehemu ya kaskazini-mashariki ya manispaa ya Loiborsoit tayari mwaka jana. Katikati ya Machi, uchimbaji wa ufanisi ulifanyika mita mia chache tu kutoka kwa shule yetu mpya ya msingi iliyojengwa huko Loolosesia. Kwa hivyo, shule ya Mbuko inaweza kufaidika na hali hii. Hadi sasa Mbuko hakuna visima. Kuna hali kama hiyo huko Osilalei ambapo kisima kinaweza kukarabatiwa muda si mrefu uliopita.
