Mit der Wiederwahl von Lengai S. als Gemeindevorsteher von Loiborsoit hat der Ort eine positive Entwicklung erfahren. Der Wochenmarkt, der früher immer sonntags und nun nun am Dienstag stattfindet, wurde vergrößert und um einen eigenen Fleisch- und Ziegenmarkt erweitert. Der erweiterte Wochenmarkt ist ein Zeichen für das Wachstum und die Dynamik von Loiborsoit. Er bietet den Menschen eine Plattform zum Handel, zum Austausch und zur Begegnung.
Die Fläche für den Markt vor dem Dorfeingang wurde vergrössert. Später sollen hier die Massai auch ihre Rinder verkaufen können. Händler aus der Stadt Arusha halten hier in eigens für den Markt, in einfacher Weise bereitgestellten kleinen Marktständen (Holzgerüsten) weiterhin ihre Ware wie Kleider, verschiedene Haushaltartikel sowie Gemüse und andere Lebensmittel feil. Die Dorfregierung unter der Leitung von Lengai, legt großen Wert auf Sauberkeit und Ordnung auf dem Markt. Die Händler werden aufgefordert die Umwelt zu schützen und ihren Abfall selbst zu entsorgen, bevor sie am Abend zum nächsten Wochenmarkt in der Gegend weiterziehen. Diese finden am Mittwoch in Sukro, am Donnerstag in Terrat, am Freitag in Emboret, am Samstag in Lolkisale, am Sonntag in Loiborsirret statt. Der neue Fleisch- und Ziegenmarkt in Loiborsoit ist eine wichtige Bereicherung. Aufgrund der seit Mitte November begonnenen Regenzeit, ist es im Massailand zwischenzeitlich saftig grün geworden. Es herrscht ein reichliches Futterangebot für das Vieh der Massai, und daher sind auch die Preise für Ziegen momentan stark gestiegen. Die allermeisten zum Kauf angebotenen Tiere sind sehr vital und bei bester Gesundheit. Daher hat man innerhalb des Projektes von Roger’s Kuhherde trotz hoher Preise, noch vor Jahresende die Gelegenheit genutzt und ein paar junge Geissen (weibliche Ziegen) dazugekauft, welche man später Anfang 2025 nach weiterem Zukauf von Ziegen, wie gewohnt an bedürftige Massaifamilien abgeben wird…
